在2016考研英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中,英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法與用法的一般與特殊情況要特別注意。一般規(guī)律是同學(xué)們必須掌握的大多數(shù)情況,但是特殊情況卻往往更容易在考試,特別是考研英語(yǔ)中中出現(xiàn),也就是我們經(jīng)常說(shuō)的“熟詞生義”。因此,同學(xué)們?cè)趯W(xué)習(xí)時(shí),千萬(wàn)不要以偏概全。
例1. advise
一般:
1) advise sb. to do sth.
I would strongly advise you not to go out on your own.
我極力奉勸你不要單獨(dú)外出。
2) advise + that 從句
They advise that a passport should be carried with you at all time.
他們建議護(hù)照要隨時(shí)帶在身邊。
特殊:
1) advise sb. against sth.
I would strongly advise you against going out on your own.
我極力奉勸你不要單獨(dú)外出。
2) advise on
We employ an expert to advise on new technology.
我們聘用了一位專(zhuān)家擔(dān)任新技術(shù)顧問(wèn)。
3) advise + of
We’ll advise you of any changes in the delivery dates.
如果遞送日期有任何變化我們將通知您。
例2. agree
一般:
1) agree that
We agreed that the proposal was a good one.
我們一致認(rèn)為這個(gè)建議不錯(cuò)。
2) agree with (sb./sth.)
He agreed with them about the need for change.
他同意他們需要變革的意見(jiàn)。
Your account of the accident does not agree with hers.
你對(duì)事故的敘述與她的敘述不一致。
3) agree on
It’s a budget that the President and Congress cannot agree on.
總統(tǒng)和國(guó)會(huì)在預(yù)算問(wèn)題上有分歧。
特殊:
1) agree to sb. Doing
My sister won’t agree to our mother going into a nursing home.
我姐不會(huì)同意把媽媽送到養(yǎng)老院的。
2) agree in
The two parties agreed in changing a government.
兩黨一致希望更換政府。
例3. ask
一般:
1) ask sb. about sth.
They’ll just ask you about your education and work experience.
他們只是問(wèn)問(wèn)你的學(xué)歷和工作經(jīng)歷。
2) ask for
Some people find it difficult to ask for help.
有人在困難時(shí)覺(jué)得很難開(kāi)口。
3) ask sth. of sb.
You have no right to ask anything of me.
你沒(méi)有權(quán)利要求我做任何事。
特殊:
1) ask for sb. (want to talk to)
There’s someone at the door asking for Dad.
門(mén)口有人要和爸爸說(shuō)話(huà)。
2) for the asking
With three years’ experience, the promotion is yours for the asking.
憑著3年的工作經(jīng)驗(yàn),你只靠申請(qǐng)就肯定會(huì)得到提升。
3) ask too much /a lot of sb.
You’re asking too much of him.
你對(duì)他要求太高了。
4) ask after sb.
He always asks after you in his letters.
他在信中經(jīng)常問(wèn)候你。
