背景資料:
陳遷教授長期以來致力于骨骼關節(jié)發(fā)育和衰老的疾病機理研究和治療,具有世界一流的研究水平,是分子生物學、轉化醫(yī)學和骨科領域的國際權威專家。1992年在Tufts大學醫(yī)學院獲得細胞分子和發(fā)育生物學博士學位。1992年至1994年間在哈佛大學/麻省總醫(yī)院完成博士后工作。自從2002年起,被聘為美國著名“常青藤”盟校之一的布朗大學終身教授,Michael G. Ehrlich MD特聘主任教授,時年38歲(為布朗大學醫(yī)學院歷史上最年輕的終身特聘教授)。自從2007年,主持建立了由美國國立衛(wèi)生研究院(NIH)支持的杰出生物醫(yī)學研究中心(COBRE),并任主任和首席負責人。此研究中心是全美八十多個杰出生物醫(yī)學研究中心中,僅有的兩個研究骨骼關節(jié)的中心之一。作為國際骨科關節(jié)研究的領軍人物,在骨骼關節(jié)研究領域,校外研究經費在全美(美國和加拿大)排名第二。 2012年9月起擔任西安交通大學前沿醫(yī)學科學研究所所長兼骨骼關節(jié)疾病和治療研究中心主任。其研究領域包括軟骨病,關節(jié)炎,骨折愈合,細胞外基質及生物力學傳導的分子機制。在國際骨科和關節(jié)炎醫(yī)學領域具有重要影響力。已編撰發(fā)表“骨關節(jié)炎的診斷,治療和手術(Osteoarthritis: Diagnosis, Treatment and Surgery)”等專著,在國際學術期刊發(fā)表的多篇論文為分子生物學在骨科領域應用的奠基性研究。其論文被引用近2000余篇次,H-index為29(2014年04月29日數(shù)據(jù))。
其代表性成果包括:1)骨骼發(fā)育的分子生物學奠基性研究揭示軟骨內骨化的分子生物學機理;成功建立了一系列軟骨細胞分化的標志分子,比如骨膠原十號(type X collagen)和其他軟骨基質分子。這些奠基性工作發(fā)表在PNAS ,Development, JBC等世界著名刊物上,為骨骼發(fā)育領域奠定了分子生物學基礎。2)骨骼軟骨的生物力學信號分子傳導與機理的開創(chuàng)性研究;揭示和鑒別了多個骨骼中調控生物力學信號傳導的重要基因,并發(fā)表了一系列首創(chuàng)性文章。這些文章被大量引用(單篇引用多達200次)并廣泛影響生物力學研究的各個領域。3)軟骨發(fā)育不良和骨關節(jié)炎調控基因的開創(chuàng)性研究;鑒別和認定關節(jié)軟骨在發(fā)育或衰老的過程中,導致軟骨組織損傷和退化的重要基因。多項研究第一次揭示軟骨基質分子的基因編碼與這些疾病的重要關系,發(fā)表在JCB, MBC, Developmental Biology。4)骨骼和關節(jié)退化病理與治療轉化研究;開發(fā)新的診斷和治療骨骼關節(jié)損傷和退化疾。ɡ绻顷P節(jié)炎)的方法。通過干擾分解代謝相關的細胞分子和趨化分子,研發(fā)了新型治療方法來抑制軟骨組織的損傷和退化。開發(fā)了動物模型來模擬軟骨損傷和退化疾病的的病理學特征。這些模型對于新藥和新治療方法的研發(fā)具有不可估量的作用,并發(fā)表在Arthritis & Rheumatism, JBC, JBMR. 其在生物醫(yī)學前沿的研究領域,作出突出貢獻并多達16次獲得美國和國際重要科技獎項,包括J.V. Satterfield 關節(jié)炎研究員獎 (美國關節(jié)炎研究基金會青年研究員最高獎);美國國立衛(wèi)生研究院獨立科學家獎;諾華基金會科學家獎(當年全世界唯一獲獎者);Kappa Delta 青年研究家獎(全美骨科研究最高榮譽)。已授權美國和國際發(fā)明專利兩項。
