陳小平博士現(xiàn)任中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)教授,國際頂級期刊JAIR和KER編委,中國RoboCup委員會主席,2008和2015RoboCup機器人世界杯及學(xué)術(shù)大會主席,2015世界人工智能聯(lián)合大會機器人系列主席。創(chuàng)建并領(lǐng)導(dǎo)中國科大機器人實驗室,取得智能機器人和多Agent系統(tǒng)系列化創(chuàng)新成果,先后獲得10項世界冠軍,2007年和2014年分別奪得RoboCup機器人世界杯總分第一。中國科大“可佳”智能機器人總設(shè)計師,“可佳”工程創(chuàng)建者和領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者,提出基于開放知識的機器人智能技術(shù)路線,團隊自主研發(fā)的“可佳”機器人于2014年獲國際服務(wù)機器人標(biāo)準(zhǔn)測試第一名,2013年獲第23屆世界人工智能聯(lián)合大會最佳自主機器人獎和通用機器人技能獎,2012年入選JHRI全球人-機器人互動5個代表性大型系統(tǒng)之一。2014年獲第三屆國際機器人智能大會最佳論文獎。
