王海勛，1972年生，博士，微軟亞洲研究院主管研究員，中國(guó)人民大學(xué)信息學(xué)院兼職教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。2000年畢業(yè)于加利福尼亞大學(xué)洛杉磯分校(UCLA)計(jì)算機(jī)系，獲得博士學(xué)位。畢業(yè)后在IBM T. J. Watson研究院從事長(zhǎng)達(dá)9年的研究工作，曾擔(dān)任副總裁技術(shù)助理。2009年加入微軟亞洲研究院，領(lǐng)導(dǎo)一個(gè)研究小組從事非確定性數(shù)據(jù)管理及挖掘的研究，開(kāi)發(fā)了概率知識(shí)庫(kù)系統(tǒng)Probase以及分布式圖數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)系統(tǒng)Trinity。近年來(lái)，在數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)相關(guān)領(lǐng)域國(guó)際頂尖會(huì)議和期刊上發(fā)表超過(guò)120篇學(xué)術(shù)論文。多次受邀擔(dān)任本領(lǐng)域重要國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議（如SIGMOD,VLDB,ICDM,ICMLA）各類職務(wù)，并擔(dān)任TKDE、KAIS和JCST的編委。

Haixun Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from UCLA in 2000. He joined Microsoft Research Asia in 2009, and he leads research in data managment. Before joining Microsoft, he spent 9 years as a research staff member at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Technical Assistant to Stuart Feldman, Vice President of Computer Science of IBM Research, and from 2008 to 2009, he was a Technical Assistant to Mark Wegman, Head of Computer Science of IBM Research. Haixun Wang’s research interest lies in data management and mining. Currently, he is working on building a large scale knowledge base for advanced applications, including search， document understanding, etc. Haixun Wang is on the editorial board of TKDE (IEEE Transaction on Data Engineering), KAIS (Knowledge and Information Systems), and JCST (Journal of Computer Science and Technology). He is the PC Chair of ICMLA 2011, WAIM 2011, and he served as vice PC chair and senior PC member for various top conferences including SIGKDD, SIAM DM, ICDM, etc. Haixun Wang has published over 120 publications in top international conferences and journals, and he is the recipient of the best student paper runner up award in ICDM 2009, and the best paper award in Internal Conference on Conceptual Modeling 2008.
