姚新中，1957年生，河南駐馬店人。1988年在中國(guó)人民大學(xué)獲得哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位，1990年赴英國(guó)肯特大學(xué)進(jìn)行博士后研究，現(xiàn)為英國(guó)倫敦國(guó)王學(xué)院宗教與倫理學(xué)教授，中國(guó)中心主任，中國(guó)人民大學(xué)哲學(xué)院兼職教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。曾任英國(guó)威爾士大學(xué)神學(xué)與宗教研究系系主任，牛津大學(xué)Ian Ramsey Centre高級(jí)研究員，劍橋大學(xué)Clare Hall學(xué)院終身成員。

English Resume

Yao Xinzhong, a native of Zhumadian City, Henan Province, was born on the 9th, February, 1957. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Renmin University of China in 1982 with a BA in Philosophy, and was awarded with a PhD in Ethics in 1988. Sponsored by a British Council Scholarship, he went to University of Kent, England for postdoctoral research in 1990. He started teaching at University of Wales, Cardiff and Lampeter from 1991 when he was appointed as research fellow in religious ethics. He was then appointed Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader, and Professor in Wales before going to University of Oxford as a senior research fellow (Ian Ramsey Centre). He accepted the appointment of Professor of Religion and Ethics and the Director of King’s China Institute, King’s College London in 2008. He has been an adjunct professor and OhD supervisor at Renmin University since 1999.
